IIT JEE Preparation – A Marathon!

IIT JEE Preparation – A Marathon!

Most students worry about being overwhelmed with the knowledge or unable to recall core concepts and formulas while finding solutions during IIT JEE preparation. What causes this to happen? How can such situations be avoided? Have you ever questioned why some students spend so little time studying yet achieve high IIT JEE scores?

The following are a few scientifically verified and effective study methods for JEE preparation that will help students enhance their preparedness in an efficient manner, allowing them to produce the desired results.

Factors deciding IIT JEE preparation

  • The student himself

Preparation begins with you. First, make sure you’ve reassured yourself that you can devote a year or two to it, and then go for it. Keep in mind that this is a marathon, not a dash.

As a result, it is critical that you maintain your physical and mental health.

Eat healthy foods and practise meditation or yoga (even 10 minutes a day was shown to make a significant difference in intensity and energy level – it helps!) and get enough rest.

Make a schedule and devote at least a certain number of hours per day or week to each subject (physics, chemistry, or math).

Remember, it’s not about the number of hours you work but the number of productive hours you put in.

  • Syllabus

Yes! The syllabus is extensive, but it is manageable.

And, yes, you must cover the majority of it in order to achieve a good result! You have a lower chance of passing the exam if you are only knowledgeable about a few topics. So, the key is to understand your advantages and disadvantages and to prioritise your time.

Categorise the topics according to your pluses and minuses, and devote more time to your weaker areas.

Rather than memorising, attempt to understand the topics/notions (What are you reading? Where does it apply? What is the fundamental premise?). I agree that you must remember some chemical equations and calculations at times, but you should be able to grasp the meaning most of the time.

You also need to consider two percentages. To begin, how much of the total syllabus have you covered, and what is your expertise percentage of your well-prepared topics? Both percentages should, in my opinion, be greater than 80, the higher the better.

Once you have completed your preparation, the best way to analyse these percentages is to take a good test series. Concentrate on increasing your percentage.
